On behalf of our client, Hilton, a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Italian Chef de Cuisine (Sicilian Specialty Cuisine) to join the leadership team at Hilton’s upcoming hotel in Pristina, Kosovo.This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an outstanding guest and member experience, ensuring the highest culinary standards while maintaining operational excellence, cost control, and team development.

Description

As an Italian Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee all operational, quality, and administrative functions within the kitchen, ensuring exceptional service and authentic culinary experiences for every guest.Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all kitchen operations, maintaining high-quality food standards, and ensuring compliance with Hilton’s brand and hygiene requirements.
  • Actively seeking and responding to guest feedback to continuously improve the dining experience
  • Ensuring adequate resources are available and effectively managing scheduling and team performance
  • Overseeing food provision to all Food & Beverage outlets, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food regulations
  • Controlling food costs without compromising quality and achieving departmental financial targets
  • Training, motivating, and developing kitchen staff to deliver top-level performance
  • Maintaining effective communication and collaboration across hotel departments
  • Conducting regular team meetings and following up on key actions and updates
  • Reviewing menus with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure offerings align with market trends and guest preferences
  • Managing performance issues in compliance with company policies
  • Ensuring prompt handling of maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Leading by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally aware workplace

Requirements

Required:

  • Proven catering experience in a managerial capacity
  • Demonstrated experience managing a kitchen and developing staff
  • Strong expertise in Italian and Sicilian cuisine (experience with Latin American cuisine is an asset)
  • Solid understanding of food cost management and profitability
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification
  • Commitment to high standards of guest service and hospitality excellence
  • Accountability, resilience, and flexibility to adapt to different work situations
Advantageous:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an international hotel or fine-dining environment
  • Advanced Food Hygiene qualification
  • Passion for authentic Italian cuisine and knowledge of current food trends
